Last week, I was in Cres, Croatia with mostly work colleges, on a diving holiday.
The first 4 Dives where to quality as a diver, although the last of these was just a normal fun dive. I then had 7 more dives, all from a boat, in different places. The water was amazingly clear. My deepest dive was 27m, which was to reach a ship wreck. Another dive of note was a night dive, where all the creatures came alive. The sea was bizarrely lacking in both waves and tide. It was 25C and sunny all week, with sea temp of 19 C, which was plenty warm enough in my 7mm wetsuit.
The dive center was a German one, so we had a choice between German broken English or Creation. Cress was clearly not kitted out for English tourists, as if you went to a touristy rest rant, you got translated menus, but only into German or Italian. The German menus was far easier to guess at though. Everyone was loverly there though, willing to try and translate, and not too many "Fish/Lamb, in the style of the regions"s. (BTW, thats all they seem to eat in Croatia, fish and lamb)
It was a cool trip, if not amazingly chaotic, and ill planned. But then I'm a chaotic sorta girl!
