No more progress on the app, sadly.
Instead, I went for a run this morning. I figured I needed a) the endorphins, b) to do something that demonstrated that I don't always suck and c) the ability to stay up long past my bedtime tonight.
Ever since I started running about two weeks ago, I have energy! energy! energy! on the days I run, and am dead tired on the days I don't. (which I suspect was part of yesterday's FAIL at work.) I need energy today. Lots of it. (I also need to fix the "no energy" days somehow.)
re: B) - Progress on running portion of FBI challenge:
First day I ran I did 1.5 miles in...er...25 min? Maybe closer to 26. (My notes are on my other computer. Whose keyboard I killed this weekend. Welcome to my life.) And about 1.80 miles in 35 minutes if you include warm-up and cool-down. (30 min of actual running.)
Today I did 1.5 miles in 22 minutes. 1.90 miles in 30 minutes, including warm-up and cool down. (25 minutes of actual running.) Which is a long way away from passing the test and about 7 minutes from my end of summer goal of not getting minus points in anything. But much improved.
Part of that is me starting out cautiously, though. Today was the first day that the pace felt hard enough that I think I will repeat that level at least once - for a longer period of time - before moving up on speed.
I also checked in on my plants before going for my run, and was pleasantly surprised to find that not only have I managed to NOT kill them, the tomatoes are actually growing bigger! and multiplying!
No sign of actual strawberries yet. Just the flowers.
