I never really talked much about my reunion trip when I got back, did I?

Maybe I should just show you?  :)

But first! some music....

My alma mater being sung at last year's graduation.

(I would post the anti- alma mater, but...it's from um... something that is top secret for first-years!!!! and someone on my flist is going to be a first-year in the fall, so I will wait a few months.  :DDD )

Sadly, all the videos of the Drinking Song are cut off at the beginning.

The Condom Song.

We Are The Feminists (Nice Shoes).

He Thinks He'll Keep Her.

And Now!

Here are a few links to videos of the Laural Parade, which is the highlight of graduation/reunion.  (no, really, I remember being as excited for the Laurel Parade as I was to walk across the stage - possibly more).  The first is a 4 min video montage of MHC traditions, focusing on the Laurel Parade.  Just music, no actual explanations.  You can find those here.

The next is the official Alumnae Association's video from this year.  It's really long.  Sorry.  My class (1999 - Sphinx!) starts at about 3:46.  You can see me - for a half a second, barely - near the start.  I am holding a sign and walking next to the tall women with the scarf  (yellow, of course).  The seniors start around 6:09.  The beginnings are always really cute because the parade starts with the legacy classes.

The one thing that still completely blows my mind - i did not see one single duplicate outfit, did you?

The parade ends at Mary Lyon's grave.  This is a very dizzying shot of the laurel chain being wrapped around it.  The yellow (probably actually a pale green) sheets the seniors are carrying have these song lyrics printed on them.  After the Laurel chain is in place, the Seniors sing.

Another fun tradition: strawberries and champagne! This is of the seniors having theirs - before reunions starts, if I remember right.  Alums have strawberries and champagne at our various class gatherings.  (Q: why are the seniors behind the ampitheater?  Shouldn't they be at the President's House?)

One last tradition (or will be):  Alumnae Rugby match!  (seniors vs. older alums, I think.)  It says 2006 but it's from this year.  (I am almost certain.) I am a blur sitting on the far side of the field (shade, ppls, shade)  and I know people playing.  :)

Well, I think that's more than enough for now, don't you?

remember when, ho-ly-oke holeeeeeeeyoke
