OK, WHO says these things?!?! Jon, a 23 yr old northern Greek guy who woke me up on a pretty empty train to ask me to move my bag so he could sit next to me! I should have known..
These were just a few of the MANY questions he asked me during the 2 hour journey. Granted a few were valid, but many were similar to the ones listed above.. A great mixture of straight up laughing in disbelief, uncomfortableness, honesty, unanswered questions jaja WOW While I was shocked at the same time, I was interested to see what the next question would be.. jaja Didnt take long to realize that the sky was the limit with this one :P
Apart from that, things have been more normal, maybe even a little too much. Met with Ellen and friends from Belgium in Umbria. They had rented a nice house with a pool, though to be honest, it wasnt the most exciting thing to be there, amongst lots of Dutch speaking, swimming most of the time (afterall, that is possible in most parts of the world :P ) Then they wanted to go to Florence yesterday, where I had just been 3 days ago :P Oh well, still nice to see them before returning to the US
Yesterday night I arrived to Ancona, Italy and met with a CSer Marco to stay with him before taking a ferry this morning to Croatia. He had friends over last night as well who were all pretty nice and friendly too. So much for my ferry plans this morning. Luckily Marco went with me to buy the ticket because due to the bad weather, the ferry didnt go today! What the heck! Theres a much slower night ferry tonight, but btwn getting seasick and just the thought of being inside of a cabin (as opposed to out on the deck for much shorter time) makes my stomach turn. So much for my plans to meet with other CSers in Split tonight and do a day trip to Hvar Island tomorrow.. bummer. Now I can just hope that the ferry leaves tomorrow..
