Splash!!
Yesterday my movil decided to take a swim... in the toilet at work!! Qué asco!! Talk about a not-so-funny at the moment, funny story!! At least my coworkers got a good laugh and later my kids loved playing with my movil because now when you put the battery in it, the phone constantly vibrates and has a black, fogged up screen, until you take it out. Well, now that I bought another, I know who I´ll be donating my ´swimming one´ to.. my 3 and 4 year olds!! jaja
Speaking of work, Thursday we had our Christmas ´funcion´ and I was soooo happy with my kids because they did such a great job!!! My kids were so adorable all dressed up-- the 2s like angels and the 3s and 4s like ´children from the world´ Chinese, African, etc. I think I can say it was one of the best days at work.. definitely a rewarding one, with such a great performance and then with parents coming up and saying how happy they are with the English their kids have been learning!!!!
Well, I see that it´s been a while.. in other updates.. I have moved again and am now living in Plaza de España, in downtown Madrid!! Great location, the only complaint is that we have Erasmus neighbors that like to party a lot, including during the week.. roommates seem pretty good, though to be honest, we´re all coming and going and what not.. Manuel and I are currently not seeing each other anymore, hence the ´douche bag´ definition MSN name jaja Started hanging out with CSurfers here in Madrid.. 1st Michele, an Italian guy, had a party at his house and I met a good number of people there, then last week we had a Salsa night out with some of the people from the party and others and I loved it!!! Even though I don´t know how to dance too well (definitely getting better though!) I had a ton of fun dancing with other CSurfers and also random Latinos there!!! Gotta repeat soon!! Then the other day, I met a girl who´s here on vacation, from Istanbul, which is fantastic as I´m going there with Andrés, a new friend from Venezuela, in January!!! I went out with her and other CSurfers that are currently living here in Madrid last night and we had a good time as well :)
Still playing tennis-- every Saturday to be exact, with Javier and Simon, my 2 ´senior´ friends, who are both older than my parents.. they play very well though, especially Simon, who gave me a whoopin´ last time we played.. what else? Since the last disaster with Manuel I´ve changed my mindset from guys to only TRAVEL!! Tomorrow I´m going to Belgium to spend Christmas week with my cousin, Ellen!! It´s been about 2.5 years since I´ve been there now, so it´ll be nice. Then, I´ll be back in Madrid 1 day, when I hope to meet GianYu, from EMU, who´ll be in town, and the following day, I´ll be headed to Almería, in the south of Spain, to ring in the New Year with Pedro and his friends and family!! Then come January, Andrés and I are going to Istanbul, as I have previously mentioned.. lots to get excited for!!!!
Not getting ahead of myself, tomorrow the fun begins in Belgium!! Very excited though it is a weird feeling, not sure why, but this morning when I woke up, it was like ´tomorrow I´m going to Belgium?? What??´ lol Definitely excited to see Ellen, and also her friends that I met last time I was there, like Deevie who I just talked to today by causuality! Feliz Navidad y Prospero Año 2008!!!!
