My behind the wheel test is on Dec. 28th at 2:30 in CAPITOLA. Sheesh.
So I understand why everyone hates the DMV. Before I thought 'how bad can it be? it's just a room and you have to wait a while.' But oh no. If I were a Sim, my room points would be in the negative as soon as walking in that building. It was plain depressing! Straight up beige and blue cubicles and tv monitors showing the security camera footage and what number was being served. Some of the ladies were wearing those goofy Santa hat and reindeer horn headbands, so I figure they must be a little jolly. And then I hear one of the reindeer wearing ladies being unnecesarily stern with this guy who had a question. Yeesh.
So, I waltz in there and I'm like "Hey, can I take my behind the wheel test today?"
The lady looks at me like "Are you off your meds?" and then she informs me that "No, you can't just walk in here and take the test. I can give you a number and you can wait to make an appointment so that you can take the test on another day." How rude. So I waited and I got my stupid appointment. For 3 days after Christmas, yay.
Got back to SJ yesterday with Jess. Then went directly to San Francisco to see the Nutcracker (yaaaay!). This year's was the best production I've seen of the Nutcracker. They changed the classical ballet story so that the narrative makes a little more sense. Like at the end they made it so that it was Clara and the Nutcracker prince who were dancing instead of the weird Snow Queen or whoever and her cavalier. And they have all new costumes and sets, apparently they cost 3 million all around. It was SO GOOD!
Oh sigh, I love the Nutcracker. I realized it's the stuff that most of my childhood dreams were made of. The little girl is kind of left out of the party but her uncle is nice to her and gives her the nutcracker doll and she loves it. Her demon brother comes along and breaks it, but she takes care of it and mends it/nurses it back to health. Then in the middle of the night something magical happens and the Nutcracker doll turns into a prince and takes her away to his magical kingdom of which she will be his princess. Why would she want to leave that? Sucks that it's just a dream, but whatev.
I love San Francisco.
My sister and I are going to to up to Berkeley probably on Monday to get the tattoos and we have to get to SF too to go shop at the new H&M they put in. Busy, busy, busy!
In other news, I'm like the best daughter in the world. Wahahaaha. I'm cleaning/organizing my mom's house before she gets home. Not to mention that what I got for my mom for Christmas is totally going to blow her away. Yessss!
