(no subject)
Whoa, what a weekend.
Saturday morning, we go to the open air market in Fano. Quite the experience, but the shopping was fabulous. Wait til you all see the purty gifts we got you =)
We go home, sleep for a bit, then our host mother wakes us up to ask us if we want to go to where else? but the Italian version of a mall. Only about 10 stores, plus a really really big supermarket. More shopping, more fantastic gifts.
I got Italian sandels, and I love then =) and a bag that says "I'm fishing you" all over it, just because its funny.
Sunday morning we got up rather early to go to the beach with our family.
We came home and had lunch with all these relatives of our host mother. Confusing.
Then, as usual, we slept =)
Then (this is the best thing we've done yet) around 8 our host parents took us to the Festa di Vino in Pergola. Pergola is a HUGE wine town that specializes in cherry wine, which is perhaps the most delicious drink EVER EVER EVER EVER. Every year they have a huge festival that lasts 10 days where you go from cantina to cantina (kinda like bar hopping) and eat good food and drink A LOT of awesome wine. Our host parents think its hysterical to give me and Kiki lots of alcohol, because they know we're not allowed to have it in the US. Gotta love Italy =)
We get home around midnight and PASS OUT. Perhaps the soundest sleep I've ever gotten.
School this morning, as you can imagine, was fun.
We told our teacher that I didn't feel good after the festival last night, and he laughed at us.
Again- gotta love Italy =)
