I had originally refused to sign up for MySpace because I saw what it did to people, sucking their lives away. And now I've become one of those people. Well, not full blown exactly. I mean I don't post bulletins about my top 8, and I suppose I haven't been on it enough to have my account hijacked by the free ringtones people, but I still check it often enough. I never wrote anything in here outside of JENNY EATS SOMETHING updates, and that show is over, so I guess I shouldn't expect to keep this updated. But I feel a little guilty, so I'll give you a brief history of what's been happening. I graduated from NYU in Film/TV in May. I've taken temporary residence in NYC to pursue stand-up comedy and finish editing my film. The stand-up comedy thing is going okay. Hopefully it will pay off. The one thing I can say about it is I really enjoy performing (when the crowd laughs). With radio and film, you don't get to see the audience react. I thought I was funny on JENNY EATS SOMETHING, but I had no clue really if you were laughing at your computers or not. With stand-up, the reaction is immediate, and making people laugh is my favorite thing to do. Now let's just hope I can make some money doing it. If all goes well this weekend (I have two big shows.), I'm going to attempt moving to NYC for December. If anyone knows of a place I can stay at a cheap rent, let me know. But yeah, I am still alive and if you're on my friends list I do check back every now and then to read your entries. And now I must go write some comedy. Peace.
