Oh NO!!!!
So we moved in and a couple of stray cats found out that we were the soft-hearted kind who would leave food for them. They are not friendly to people, which suited me fine to enjoy their company out in the great outdoors where God made them. These cats were named "Cat", "George", "George 2" and "George 3." (We let 2.0 name them . . .)
But of course, like cats do, there were kittens. We saw two very small ones, which then disappeared, so we feared the worst. A few weeks later we found a gray one, alive and well. J named it "Mouse" and we began to seriously think about calling a charity that would help with the expense of spaying and vaccinating the feline population around here.
Then the renamed mommy cat "Georgia" brought a second kitten to meet us. This one is not named yet, it has black splotches on white fur. But we were glad to see that both the kittens survived.
BUT WAIT!!! Then a little one I named "Cinnamon" showed up. (light red-brown splotches on white)
AND THERE'S MORE!!! The next day there were TWO kittens with black splotches on white fur. I named one of them "Oreo" because there's a clear white stripe across the back of his neck. We really need to do something about these cats!
AND IF YOU CALL NOW . . . this is what greeted us this morning
- FIVE kittens!!
Please give one of our kittens a good home! I can't have 9 cats! Crazy people have 9 cats!
Ok, I know most of you reading this message can not or should not or will not be able to help us out, but it's a good story, so I hope it made you smile, and if you know anyone who wants to adopt a kitten or knows a charity which can help us with the spay/neuter/ release thing, please be in touch!
