St. Patrick’s Day 2008
Monday, March 17th
As many of you may have heard, the Catholic Church has moved Saint Patrick’s Day to Saturday, March 15th due to a scheduling conflict with Holy Week (the week of Easter). More details can be found here:
http://www.stpatsassoc.org/ Having two celebrations for St. Patrick’s Day sounds fantastic and I hope you make plans to do so safely. However, I’m sticking with our tradition of celebrating all day long on March 17th. Below is a general list of a few places we know we’ll be stopping incase you would like to meet up with us.
Here is what’s to come Monday, March 17th:
Breakfast: Day By Day Café
http://daybyday.com/ Lunch: The Muddy Pig
http://www.muddypig.com/ Parade: Minneapolis at 6:30PM
http://www.mplsstpats.org/ Music & Sandwiches: Kieran’s Irish Pub
http://www.kierans.com/sitepages/pid69.php Music & Last Call: First Avenue
http://www.first-avenue.com/calendar/event_2503.aspx We have comps for $1.00 admission to First Avenue that night. Let us know if you’d like one so we’re sure to have enough for everyone.
Metro Transit will be supplying our transportation from St. Paul to Minneapolis. The bus is free after 6:00PM. So be prepared to dish out some bus fare if we travel earlier than 6pm.
http://www.metrotransit.org/news/stories/02_08_stpatsday.asp Other than that we’ll be walking, drinking, eating, walking, drinking, walking, dancing and walking all day. So wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.
If you’re interested in the all-day adventure or just a couple hours, we’d love to have you along for the shenanigans. Call or e-mail if you have any questions or feel the urge to RSVP.
