HOLY SHIT, NONE OF THE CHARACTERS I CARE ABOUT THAT I EXPECTED RTD TO KILL DIED.
is this what it feels like to finish a series of Torchwood and not feel like sobbing? It's been so long since series 1...
The finale was actually pretty good. It was cheesy to the max(I burst out laughing during the blood scene), the CIA was completely incompetent, and it had that old Torchwood flair to it.
Other commentary:
-I love Gwen monologues. Also: I love Gwen.
-It's a giant vagina. Come on.
-I shipped Esther/the nice CIA dude. They're both dead now, sad.
-When PC Andy said something to the effect of "Torchwood will be the death of me" I made a noise. I didn't want it to be foreshadowing. Though PC Andy was totally pasted on the entire series. It's like he was just there for the sake of old fans. Which I guess is fine with me, because he probs would be dead otherwise.
-RTD, WHY U NO EXPLAIN THE FIXED POINT IN TIME BUSINESS. U MAKE NO SENSE.
-My convo with Kassie-
Me: They put his blood in Mekhi Phifer, who is now immortal. Because being a fixed point in time is apparently blood transferable now.
Kassie: hahaha of course it is. Being a fixed point is like HIV.
-I kind of love Jilly. I'm glad she's still alive.
Overall:
-2nd half was way better.
-I still feel Meh about it overall. Nice try? Can we put Plan B on pause and go back to doing MOTW things? and if not, 5-6 episodes next time please. Though I highly doubt it's getting renewed
The bizzare thing is, going into this episode I was dead set on writing off Torchwood forever. But since RTD didn't stab my heart and let it bleed for days, I think I could actually watch a series 5 though if it actually happened. IT NEEDS TO BE SHORTER/LESS BORING THOUGH.
And now I'm going to go finish reading the football primer
