What's up friendslist?
We were supposed to go to a family reunion today, but my mom didn't feel well. It's her side of the family, so we didn't go. I feel bad, I haven't gone in like 6 years. Tomorrow I have to go to a family friend's bridal shower. She's in one of those relationships where they're so perfect it makes you want to puke, so that should be fun.
Stef and I have restarted our book club. It was kind of random- since I couldn't start 'A Song of Ice and Fire', I decided to continue reading where I left off with Eldest. I spoke to Stef about it, and she had picked it up again as well! ~bff wavelengths. After we finish the Inheritance Cycle, We're going to move on to The Hunger Games. Yes, we're severely behind the times with everything.
Pokemon update: I've beaten all the gyms, now I'm working on building my team for the Elite Four. Right now it's shaping up to be:
Samurott ♂
Zebstrika ♀
Victini
Throh ♂
Rufflet ♂
6th spot will most likely be Druddigon or Sawbuck. I'm leveling both up to see who is looking best. I wouldn't rule out a last minute ghost toss in though.
I've been feeling pretty meh about it thus far. It's been slow. It's not terrible, but I probably would have stopped watching already if I wasn't previously invested. And then last night happened. Shit just got fucked up. Vera was the most likable of the new characters, so obviously she was doomed to die.
Likes: I enjoy Jack+Esther's friendship. I'm pleased we got to see Andy and Rhys again. Gwen/Rhys is ♥
Gripes: It's beyond my suspension of disbelief how easily all of them got into the camps. Nobody noticed them removing Gwen's dad? Really? And who gives a shit if he passed out? HE CAN'T DIE. Take him and run! Now he's a Cat 1 and you're screwed. And Vera's a competent women- why would she full out tell the dude "I'm going to put you in jail FOREVER douchecanoe" and expect him not to do anything?
