My eyes have been gunky, my ears are still gunky, and my lungs are just grumpy. But I'm probably going to Rochester today aaaanyway, because I won't let the plague win. And I have an addiction
Kassie commented that she can't remember me ever being this sick, which got me reminiscing. The last time I had gunky eyes was my sophomore year, and I think I was sick for at least a couple weeks. I spent a majority of my time dead in my papasan chair under my lofted bed, marathoning FMA. I remember being so pissed off at how horrible the ending and movie were heh. Meeeeemories~
I haven't gone to work all week, so I've spent my depressing, sickly days watching hour after hour of Bones. I've gotten through 45 episodes in 4 days. >__>
I think season 3 was a bit of a let down. I must remind myself that it was most likely due to the writers strike. The dissolve of Angela/Hodgins seemed forced, and I didn't like that it took an episode or two for them to actually address how they felt about it in the aftermath.
The storyline with Booth getting shot/dying didn't get the attention it probably deserved. He was "dead" for all of what, 10 minutes and then it got shoved on the back burner? The Gormogon plot wasn't very well paced through the season, but again that's probably because of the short season. And of course I was very displeased to see the departure of one of my favorite characters. While I knew Zack left the show in season 3, I didn't know how. Zack following logic to be ok with aiding a murderer is a bit of a stretch for his character IMO(following logic to do something bad, I guess. Something as bad as accepting murder as a good thing though?). I'm glad they at least brought him back a little bit, and showed the team visiting him :___:
I came away with being very pleased after season 4. At first I wasn't feeling the assistant-squint-of-the-week format, especially because I really liked Clark. Why not just outright give him the job? But then I grew to love the parade of squints(and Hodgin's knack for drawing them into his experiments). Especially random-facts Vincent and the ever-bleak Colin.
I was amused to learn that I recognized Booth's younger brother from The Cutting Edge: Fire and Ice(a terribly hilarious movie). Which made me like him, even though he was kind of just a plot device.
The AU episode in Booth's head was amusing. All of the ASOTW together! I'm interested to see how it impacts Booth, if they even mention it at all in season 5.
