Random stuff to talk about:
I want to fast forward to Friday now so I can have a most excellent weekend, minus the dress.
I finally purchased tickets to the Bruins/Panthers game at the BCA. We're in the 3rd row of a corner. Probably not the best seats, but only $30. Woo. I'm going with Lisa, one of my PSP brothers. Which means only 38 days until a hockey game. 46 until an RIT game :D
It was also announced today that Al Pacino will be the Horton speaker at Brick City Homecoming. Pretty awesome.
I got new brakes and rotors so now the TARDIS doesn't shake to death everytime I try to stop \o/
Netflix Update
Whip It ★★★★ After watching Juno, I didn't really care for Ellen Page. Inception and now this movie have definitely changed my mind about her. It's a fun movie, props to Barrymore.
The History Boys ★★★ I liked the first part of this movie best, then it got a bit boring in the middle. I wanted to like it more than I did =/
The Emperor's New Groove ★★★★★ I have been wanting to see this movie all the way through for years. The bits I had seen, including the end, had always been awesome. And now I'm happy to have seen and enjoyed it all :)
Imagine Me & You ★★★ Plot was a bit predictable and cliche, save for the fact it was girl & girl. I did enjoy drunk Anthony Head, and random appearances from people I like(Previously mentioned Anthony Head, Ben Miles and Angel Coulby). Also: random fourth wall breaking at the end was random.
Dan in Real Life ★★★ I can kind of tell why this movie never really took off in the mainstream. But it was something I wanted to see, so I stuck with it. It was cute, I liked it, but not very memorable. And some of the scenes in it were second-hand embarrassment worthy. I paused a couple times and had to leave for a bit. /weird
Valkyrie ★★★ I was expecting this to be worse than it actually was, just because Tom Cruise can be annoying. But it was actually decent. Unexpected Eddie Izzard, Kenneth Branagh and Kevin McNally, too.
Enchanted ★★★★ I've wanted to see this forever, and I really liked it. The songs were fun but I didn't enjoy them enough to find the soundtrack(Though Daniel Boys does a wonderful rendition of "So Close")
Outsourced ★★ I think some people might find this movie a bit offensive in the beginning? Another predictable movie. The second they focused on Asha I knew she was going to be the love interest. Meh.
Auschwitz: Inside the Nazi State ★★★★ This was a 6 part mini-series. At the end of each episode, they had a Q&A with academics moderated my Linda Ellerbee. It brought me back to my childhood when she was on Nick. It was pretty indepth and interesting. They interviewed some former SS officers, and a couple of them weren't even sorry about what happened/still have hatred for the Jews. It was so aggravating to watch them laugh about some of the shit they did =/
Next up: Gamer, Atonement and In the Loop
Soundtrack things to be excited about: Dexter season 4 tomorrow downloaded! Doctor Who series 4 specials next month! La Cage revival this fall! Doctor Who series 5 in November! :D
