I wasn't feeling well on Friday, so after Doctor Who I didn't do much at all in the way of productivity. I mostly followed hockey :P There was a Sabres game on TV and I listened to RIT playing Minnesota State University on the Radio. The Sabres game started off pretty poorly, having an 0-3 deficit in the 2nd against the Thrashers. But they ended up coming back to tie it up 3-3 by the end of the 3rd, then won in overtime! The Tigers were not so lucky. They ended up crushing them 1-6, RIT's worst loss since Air Force's 0-5 win in the AHA playoff semifinals two years ago. Ouch. The Olé song they played every time MSU scored a goal will haunt me for a while. :__:
Saturday was movie day! Jamie was breezing through town on his way back to New Jersey, so we hung out at Carousel for a couple hours. We ended up seeing Sherlock Holmes, which was very enjoyable. By going I missed the end of the SU vs Pittsburgh game, which is probably for the best since it was their first loss of the season. Ick. Later in the evening I braved the weather to go back to Carousel with Stef and Nate to see Invictus. As I expected from a Morgan Freeman movie, it was really good. It did seem a bit long, but worth it. The one thing I have against it is they played that damn Olé song over and over, reminding me of the killing RIT endured the night before. There was actually another game against MSU going on that I opted to miss for the movie, in which RIT got shut out 0-3. Sadly, that was RIT's last opportunity to get an OOC win in the regular season. *sigh* I hope this doesn't effect them too negatively going into the 2nd half of the season. I'd hate for them to have a great first half and flounder it in the second. =/
I discovered the ESPN scorecenter app today, and it makes my life so much happier. You can note your favorite teams, and it will give you updates. Like when it updated me today that the Sabres beat the Canadiens 1-0 :D It amuses me how sports have assimilated themselves into my life, when not too long ago I despised them.
