Updating again so soon, what is this? and about real-life non-hockey-related things? SHOCK AND HORROR.
I got my final grade for my final class as an IT student... a B! Which actually surprised me. I did well enough on the homework, but I was so terrible at being active in the discussions. And I still managed a 16/25. Not quite sure how she got that number, but I'll take it. It puts my final GPA at a respectable 3.6.
I haven't really done much in the way of considering what I actually want to do with my life. Or done anything proactive for my future. But my friend Jamie called me up today and informed me that his company was looking for IT folk. To be perfectly honest, IT really isn't what I want to do, but he said there were IT-related-but-not-necessarily-IT jobs I could look into(like project management and such) so I figured what the hell. I had to update my resume, which is always annoying. I really need to email my references and make sure they're still good. I should prooobably deal with that tomorrow. Anyway, it'd be nice to work with a friend, even if it means I have to move to New Jersey(which is actually a really nice spot for away game hockey- within 3 hours of 5 different AHA teams. And Jamie would be a willing hockey travel buddy :D). Not that I'm really getting my hopes up that I'll actually get a job there. I actually have no hope at all. heh.
Work at OFA is going well. I'm getting to know downtown Syracuse a little better. My hours are all kinds of weird, which is making it hard to find a part-time job to supplement for more $$$. Hopefully they'll get more stable once OFA has its own office(right now we're based at the Onondaga County Democrats Committee).
On a less srs bsns note, I did little things to celebrate the Doctor Who anniversary today. I wore my "You never forget your first doctor" shirt, listened to Chameleon Circuit on the way to work, and when I got home watched a bit of "The Two Doctors". Jamie and Two ♥! I didn't get to finish it though, because first I had downloading issues(wouldn't have been an issue if my hard drive didn't die earlier this year, WOE) and then I got distracted by resume stuff :( maybe tomorrow.
Must go to bed now, up early to deliver my father to the doctor's.
