Slightly disjointed post.
At 8:02pm on November 17, 2009 I submitted my final for my online class, thus completing my last college class. I've had such a love/hate relationship with my major, I'm not quite sure how to feel at the moment.
I arrived in Rochester shortly after noon. I got food with Ev and Jess, and we convinced Jess to accompany us on the trip. We picked up Noelle around 3:30, and headed off. The drive was fairly uneventful. The sun was in my eyes practically the whole time. bleh. We had dinner at Wendy's, then found our way to campus. I got a little lost finding the rink. I may have backed over a curb or went the wrong way on a one way road. *cough*
We won on Friday 2-1, so I was hoping for another win. The first period was not one of our best. We trailed 0-1 by the end of it. We were much better in the 2nd, tying the game 1-1 by the end. In the 3rd RIT scored, then MH scored, then RIT scored :D Thus RIT won, 3-2, extending the win streak to 6 games.
There was a fairly large contingent from RIT. Unfortunately we didn't sit with them, since Noelle's sister (who goes to Mercyhurst) was sitting with us. Instead, we sat in the front row 2 sections over. I much prefer the bowl set up with the Ritter over the bleacher set up at MH; then people aren't walking in front of you most of the game.
I was amused by the drunk people around us. There were a couple of girls behind us who were very, very hockey illiterate. They also felt the need to talk about how bloated they were from water retention. Apparently that's interesting hockey talk now. Then there was the shouty drunk guy who kept proclaiming how shitty and awful RIT is. He left after RIT scored the winning goal. hahaha, if RIT's awful, how does that make you look that they swept you? His idiocy aside, Mercyhurst is actually a really great team. They're definitely within the top of the conference, and neither night was an easy win. They're especially a force to be reckoned with in the playoffs.
I'm sad I'm going to miss the home games against Sacred Heart this weekend. :(
Stef and I attempted to watch the meteor shower yesterday, but weren't very successful. We parked at St. Mary's field, which brought back some memories of my childhood(it's right by my elementary school, and my sister used to play softball there on occasion). It was about 33 degrees out, and we were chilling in the back of her car with the hatchback open. We waited for about an hour, and I didn't even see anything. Sad times.
PS: Only 4 more episodes of Supernatural and I'm all caught up!
PPS: I have a meeting tomorrow with Organizing for America. Looks like I'll be working for them for a bit :)
