My Darien Lake trip with Nolan and Ryan has been postponed for a third time due to the weather. We're going to try again next Sunday, I hope it works out this time. Weather.com reports 78 and Sunny, let's see if it stays that way. Speaking of weather, the thunderstorms that have been going through the past couple hours have been amazing. Best storm I've seen in ages. The lighting is NONSTOP[Channel 3 reported 663 lightning strikes in the past 10 minutes]! <3 I'm waiting to see if the power to go out. It's been flickering for a while now, and the cable has been worse. Only downside to this storm is the inevitable collection of rain that will be pooling on the passenger side of my car because of my windshield leak. =/
In other news, I've found two benefits about not being an OA this year[and pretty much only two benefits...]:
1. I can go to the State Fair. It's always the 10 days before Labor Day, while Orientation and training are the 12 days before. I've already got plans to go twice; once with my mom and once with friends[Jess E, Ev and Stef <3]. I am also going to see if Nolan, Ryan and Bucky would like to drive in for it. Yay fair!
2. I can attend the 4th annual trip to Stef's camp on Oneida lake. Normally it's done near Stef's birthday, but this year she was in NYC for it. So it got postponed and combined with her grad party. This is an event to look forward to because it involves drunken debauchery. And weird taxidermy'd animals. And using a motherfucking ax. And smores! mmm.
THIS IS A PSA: Thursday is International Left Handers' Day. Please show some appreciation for your right-brained friends :)
