AHHH Darien Lake was so much fun. BUT SO RAINY AND COLD! I drove Everett, Brittany and Maris, and we jammed to my 90s playlist the whole way. Elisa, Kyle, Mike, Dina, Jess P, Stef, Nate, Carol and Jess E went as well. We actually managed to more-or-less stick together the whole time :) Because of the weather, there was like 20 cars in the parking lot so lines were basically non-existent. I am obsessed with Darien Lake, so I kind of guided people where they wanted to go. We started with
the MotoCoaster, which was EPIC. A little short, but cool none the less. And the restraints for it were nice.
Then we hit up the
Boomerang, which has been closed like the past 3 years I've gone. I've actually never ridden the one at DL, I rode it at
The Great Escape with Shelly. So that was fun :D We then worked our way over to Superman:
Ride of Steel[When Six Flags sold DL to PARC, they had to drop the 'Superman' part of the name], which I declined to go on, so I hit
the Lasso with Ev, Jess E and Stef. We were going to go on
the Predator, but it was closed as usual. I would have thought they were just going to let it die given it's never open, but I saw them running an empty train. They need to steal
the Comet from The Great Escape. Best wooden coaster <3 Then it was time for
the Viper, woo! Though the rain was sooo painful, so I looked busted in the on-ride picture XD; Next I dragged everyone to my favorite ride,
The UFO :D Then we continued our Roller Coaster tour and hit up
The Mind Eraser. I actually paid attention to the directions and held my head back, resulting in less brain damage than usual!
Now events get a little blurry... we paid for overpriced sketch food[Stef got cheated the worst, her chicken was pretty much inedible], rode the motocoaster a couple more times, the Boomerang[with Stef! <3], the Viper. I actually attempted to go on the Ride of Steel[which is a pretty big deal for me, I have sworn up and down to never ride it ever because of the lack of good restraints. But I figure after 21 there's not much more to look forward to, so oh well if I die XD;], but their buckles aren't kind to larger people =/ DIAF stupid ride, I DIDN'T WANT TO RIDE YOU ANYWAY.
Then we got funnel cakes[mmm strawberry topping] and departed around 4:30pm.
Overall very successful[and Photo House paid for my ticket and gas money, so free trip ftw]. And despite the clouds and rain, I ended up with a sunburn. Weasley, I am dragging you there one or two times. And Stef, we will go camping there this Summer. ACCEPT IT.
Time for bed, work 7:30-10 and a final 12:30-2:30.
