And again... haha
Stratford-upon-Avon: Shakespeare's birthplace! we took a tour, the town is relatively small but they had a delicious market, where I tasted delicious hot apple cider and sausage sandwches and pate and soda bread, and cheese :) and bought a lot of it, haha. Anna and Brian met us there, it was very nice to be with another couple :)
LONDON: Well I've been there twice for a visit. The first time kind of sucked because i brought the wrong kind of shoes. We also didn't get to see the tower or Westminster because they were both closed when we got there. But we did see tons of other things: SOHO, Big Ben, The outside of Westminster, London Bridge, The ORIGINAL Hard Rock Cafe, Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace.
The second trip we went to Westminster and saw non other than THE QUEEN OF ENGLAND!! hahaha there was a big veterans day commemmoration and she was there for the ceremony, it was awesome. She's short and cute, but we didn't see her for very long she got in her little silver buletproof van and was driven away. We saw the inside of the tower this time, the crown jewels up close as well as the museum. We walked in Kensington gardens, and almost got EATEN by swans!!! I was 6 inches away from one, they're HUGE!!! We took come videos of Colin being followed/chased by about a million birds because he was throwing his crumbs to them. We saw the peter pan monument and the princess Diana fountain. For dinner we ate at this pub where Parliament members regularly frequent, and ate a delicious carvery, which are big things here in England, and theyre delicious. pork, roast, and turkey with warm cranberry sauce, yorkshire pudding (which is just a pastry thing) gravy and vegetables, mmmmm :) we were stuffed, but we couldn't forget the tea after our meal :P I am a tea drinker hardcore now.
I will end this with two things I really love about being here:
First. Colin. I needed to take this trip, and so did he, because we both needed to find what we had been searching for for a really long time, and we just didn't know it was each other. I'm really happy :) All of this is worth it because I found the person I am completely head over heels in love with. We're already planning another trip back here in the summer, backpacking and hiking all over England, Scotland and Wales!!! yessss
I also love just being able to go to a pub and have a drink. I have become a drinker for the taste now so much more than I was. I especially enjoy beer, but for the taste. I realy could go for one now, actually. I'm saving my first guiness taste for Ireland, though I have tried good english beer, czech beer, belgian ale, Polish beer, THAT's my favorite, STRAWBERRY beer! mmmmmm :) and a bunch of others. I love it for the taste, and America's big huge beer companies really don't compare. It's gonna suck when I can't go into bars anymore. But I guess seeing as how I'm gonna be a bartender I'll just frequent the one I work at untill I am of age. Stupid America.
okay that's all for now, sorry I suck at Livejournal, haha, hopefully more later. :)
