Unexpected Happiness

Well, turns out my feet will be hitting Pennsylvania soil again before the end of the year.  Bryan called this morning with news that his favorite band OF ALL TIME is reuniting for a concert at the Trocadero Theater in Philly.  He was excited, but worried that it seemed selfish to go.  I assured him that I would be upset if he DIDN'T go.  Information Society has not performed together since the 90's I think.  Bryan got us VIP tickets (which doesn't mean much more than we get a t-shirt or DVD with the purchase) and they are going to be filming at that show for their upcoming DVD.

So he is in absolute heaven and I am glad to be able to visit with family, if even briefly.  I think I had been mentally preparing myself to not see them, and did not realize how much I missed them.  I know it is going to be hectic to fit everyone in in only a few days, but at least it's something.

The news put me in an incredibly good mood.  We had playgroup this morning and it went swimmingly.  I really enjoy the role of facilitator.  It's rewarding and fun.

We came home and Evelyn delved into the world of painting with watercolor for the first time.  We had been doing one of those water paint books, the kind that has the paint on the page and you activate the color with just water and a brush.  She enjoyed the watercolor even more though.

I have a lot to do for the day, but had to record my day's joy.  It's a good day.

crafts, vacation, concert
