Buffy the Vampire Slayer oh wait I mean Twilight

So I finally saw Buffy the Vampire Slayer oh wait I mean Twilight, why hello there 30 pesos pirated deebeedee you. And it was ... Buffy the Vampire Slayer oh wait I mean Twilight.

Okaaaaay fiiiiine, Twilight has its merits. I mean I did get tingly during the supposedly tingly parts. But but but, well, it seriously reminded me of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, you know, human-vampire love, Buffy and Angel, anyone? Oh well it was an old TV series ... never mind.

We read the book, I mean it was cheap, what, 250 pesos or so for hundreds of pages, or so. We even read the second book, albeit just a fourth. Edward, the vampire, wasn't there anymore, sure Bella, the human, and Jacob, the werewolf, were there but, really, what's so interesting about a human and a werewolf? Vampires on the other hand, well now we're talking.

I dunno. I guess I wasn't really sold on Twilight to begin with. Maybe because I'm not really into literature like that in the first place. I fantasy. I hardly enjoy literature without elves and dwarfs and magic. Edward isn't an elf nor a dwarf nor does he magic so ... I guess that's it.

But you know, Twilight did make me think of love, and Miks, and love, and Miks ... and it's nice thinking of those things. Edward has nothing on Miks though, I mean he comes up with better lines for instance.

Do not fear the coming of death, for our love, though our mortal bodies fade away, will live forever in the place where love knows not the meaning of time. There we will find each other again and love far stronger without the walls of our earthly raiment. Then I will look into your eyes and you into mine and we will look upon each other more clearly and I will smile and cry for finally we are forever. - Mikael Bersales 09 November 2008

Does Edward ever come up with something better than say, "I don't have the strength to stay away from you anymore"? I mean I'll probably read the series again if he actually does.

Toodles.

miks, twilight, books, love
