A little closure?

Mar 04, 2005 20:11

The smiles have faded, The laughter is no more
Where once was an open heart, Now lies a closed door
Never thought it would end the same, So different you claimed to be
But between the two of us, The hurt one... again, is me
A gentleman, a heart of gold, the one who was always wronged
You were dishonest, you broke my heart, with every other guy is where you truly belonged
When were you supposed to tell me, that I was not the one?
A month of good times and happiness now ends with no more fun
I hope you find your everything, the girl who’ll “really care”
She’ll never be as good as me, For I’m genuine and rare
She’ll never appreciate a good deed done, and she’ll expect so much and more
and won’t give a damn to thank your ass when you hold open every door,
A day spent walking in the cold? Just talking and nothing more?
What kind of girl would stand for that, she’d think you’re just a bore,
A date that goes from place to place and even to the mall?
And her, pay for dinner? That will NEVER be... She’ll let you pay it all.
You’ll never meet a girl like me, I hope one day you’ll see
That the one who lost out is you my dear, it certainly wasn’t ME!
