Bouncing Checks

Oh - and as a PS theres some interesting posting going on in my friend Kevin's blog. Bounced check fees....they suck, yes. But the few times I've incurred them I've always thought "Hmm, my fault". See I agree about the overdraft protection thing - and I think you can decline it for some now?

BUt the whole comment about how banks shouldn't expect you to keep track of your balance because you're way too busy? I think thats just not taking personal responsibility and I hate that!

I once bounced BIG TIME because the car rental place that told me my refund would post immediately after returning the car...took 2 weeks. And I was on vacation and had no clue. Luckily they took all that off for me....that was EXPENSIVE!

I know! Sometimes I find that journal to be super useful and I'm like "oh, what a great use for XXXX" or "what a great recipe". A lot of times though it just makes my head go all desky.

YES on Chase. They jumped Mike's APR to 24% and then closed the account. By the time we realized and called it was TOOLATESOSADTOOBAD.

Dad actually threw a fit that he had Chase and paid it off - so now we pay him. I don't like it but I'll do anything to avoid CHASE.
