Damn, I gotta tell you, this shit is workin' out. Whatever the wacked up teacher did is fine by me, I'm just lettin' it slide cuz at the moment it's workin' in my favor. You should've seen it. I diedSo I'm walking home from doing some more community service at the park and I see Jordan walking my way. Thinkin' he's gonna bust my ass I run over to ( Read more... )

I decided to go out since Jordan's not home again. Where am I going? The park. Don't ask me why, but something is just telling me to go there, so who am I to go against my gut?

I decide to walk over to the playground, and once I'm there I notice a guy sitting on one of the swings. I can't really see who it is, but I'm feeling extra friendly, so I decide to go and sit on the swing next to him. "Hey."

And that's when I recognize the kid. Oh, hell. This should be interesting. "Me." I just sort of say, looking down and then back towards him. "You probably don't want much to do with me, huh? I get that." I stand up from the swings and start walking away from him, but then I quickly turn around with another thought. "I just want you to know I payed for what I did. Community service and everything..." I turn back around and continue on walking.

Okay, maybe it's time to stop being nice. I pivot a third time, facing him again. "There are reasons." I state simply, afraid I'll do something stupid if I say more. I don't exactly feel like fighting with some kid who's name I don't even know.

I glare at him. "I..." God, why can't I talk to this kid? "I don't even know you, why should I explain myself? I fucked up. I'm sorry. Can't we just leave it?" I shrug a little, and again stare at the ground. I have to admit, the guy's a little intimidating. Just a little.

I actually grin, just a little bit, and shove my hands into my pockets. I think I like this kid. "Oh, I have. Believe me." I think of what's happened recently and my grin widens. I debate sitting back down on the swing, for now not moving.

I finally give in and sit back down, wrapping my hands around the chains of the swing. "Jenny," I tell him. "I'm a sophomore at the school, you are too right?"

"McEvans, yeah. The music teacher." I say, starting to swing a little bit. "What can I call you, tough guy?" I find myself grinning again. I've been doing that a lot lately.

Hmm, Jordy. "Sign up next year, I probably will again. He's a cool guy when he wants to be, my brother. Wicked awesome guitarist. You already play?" I ask, turning my head to look at him but still swinging.
