I was pondering elsewhere the many things I like about my friends and compiled this list. Its not complete, but I think it really encapsulates nicely what I like about people:
1. Intelligence. I value this above all things. I am a knowledge junkie at heart and I surround myself with people who I can learn from.
2. Ability to have meaningful conversations on a myriad of topics
3. Diversity in lifestyle, interests, background etc.
4. Interesting people. Boring and dull people severely irk me. Though I secretly fear being boring and dull.
5. Having fun doing whatever it is that we do whether its shopping, drinking, watching movies, hanging out
6. Common interests though nice is not mandatory. I know quite a few people that I am friends with despite sharing *very* different views and opinions on things
7. Trust (this should be higher up there, but I don't feel like renumbering, so pretend this is number 2) Trust is a highly guarded possession to me. I don't give it out to everyone in vast quantities, which is why I come across as being reserved.
8. Truthyness (this should be higher too) I am honest. I don't hold back. I don't expect others to hold back as well. I hate being lied to or deceived. I really hate when people blow smoke up my ass and tell me what I want to hear. Challenge me. Question me. Call me on my bullshit.
9. Creativity or an appreciation and deep understanding of creativity
10. Sense of humor. I like to make people laugh. I like to laugh myself.
