Well as you all knew yesterday was our 4th anniversary and as SOME of you SNEAKY people knew Tim was planning on proposing to me...
We went to dinner around 6pm at Zesty's which was nice. I suspected nothing. Although I was remembering while we were there how I managed to pull off his surprise party for his 27th birthday. So onward we went towards. Home. Then he stopped the car and said " i have a surprise for you" as he pulled into the driveway where our old apartment was. My heart started racing and then he said "get out of the car" He gave me a big hug and said since this is the place we first met yada yada yada and then got down on one knee and said " in the words of Sinclair "You wanna get married or what?" I was crying and said something to the extent of "what do you think?? of course or perhaps hell yes". Yes ok I was crying despite my attempts to be a complete hardass my deepest darkest secret is that i am a total sappy hopeless romantic girl. Ok there I said it and now you know. He gave me his British grandmothers engagement ring. Its gorgeous. I love antique jewelry. Its from the 1930s and its British woohoo.Then we embraced and he said "well we better get home there are a bunch of people waiting there for us" "WHAT??? you're not serious are you? "Yes uh Helen and Asher were in on it and there are people at the house now" .... and what do you know we got home and there were people at the house and then more people came... I can't believe how many of you sneakyassbastards KNEW!!!!!!!
special thankies to deviathan and Asher for pulling this together and thankies to everyone else who came out last night drewid valerini _antipathy_ mr_velvex grendelsden Stephanie, Jerry, Lucinda, mzfaerie Laurie, Andy, Erin, Alexis, Lou, and g-d I hope I am not forgetting anyone... So we toasted drank champagne and such and afterwards headed down to a local bar. PS someone left an umbrella here...
