Radio Silence
So what have I been up to? As you all can probably tell by the unusually low volume of posting by yours truly -- I have been busy.
In no particular order, heres whats been going on...
Work
This has been the main reason for the posting shortage. I used to post alot during the day, but have been too busy to do so lately. I spent thrusday and friday in NYC last week for training on the new knowledge management website/database thing. It went well.
Basically, the low down is that I am trying to get in as much training as I can over the summer and functioning as a backup Knowledge Managed (KM) for the other two KMs in the Healthcare/Life Scienes/Chemical Industry Practice. Come fall, my boss is retiring and my workload will decrease significantly, which means I will probably start doing the KM thing full time. My other boss who suggested me for the "promotion" hinted that it would be more money and that I could probably work from home more often, which would rock. He also asked me about my plans for school, which at this point are up in the air after finishing Moore. We're looking into the possibility of work paying for grad school. See if I am working from home I could feasibly do grad school part time, which is better than not going at all. I'm still thinking about taking a year off after I graduate from Moore, in which I will probably take some French & German classes so that I can get my language requirements out of the way. All in all taking a year off before officially starting grad school still would leave me advancing towards the same goal. We shall see where I end up on this long interesting road that has been revealed.
Back to the work thing - if i am going to be working from home and travelling more often I am going to see if they will give me a work laptop, corporate card and new cell phone (or at least paying for business calls.

Tonight, I caught up with mzfaerie and dmeinheit for Anime night down at Grape Street PUb. I really dig Love Hina. Just as we were leaving and heading back to the car we ran into honneylove and a friend. So we went back to GSP and had another drink and chatted a bit. Chrissy is doing well and working at a coffeeshop on Main Street. (I'm thinking about heading down to the Arts Festival this weekend and popping by for coffee, I think she works until 1 or 2)
Saturday was the Clark Park festival, which was okay, we thwarted the rain and had a good time and then headed to Dave & Stephs and mucho goofiness ensued. I swear the greatest thing about being an adult is being able to act like a kid with yer friends. We laughed, I snarfed and talked about the high art of farting. (Thanks Helen for the ride home)
Other Non-categorical stuff
I took one of the kitties to his new home tonight, boy howdy he is going to be one spoiled kitten. heh. I still have 4 more upstairs and one that I have yet to catch (which oddly enough looks like Matt Quiddity - its a black and white cat that has Matts exact hairline and shaping)
We leave for Chicago on the 2nd and will be coming back on the 6th for a wedding/semivacation.
