Time is not on my side:
The alarm went off this morning. 8AM. I checked it last night to make sure that it worked and it did. I was more tired than usual for some reason. Hit the snooze alarm for about half an hour, trudged upstairs and took a bath where I snoozed some more. I was kind of perplexed as to why I was so tired. Figuring that it was getting close to 9am, I went into the bed and look at the clock which read 7:38am?!?@?@?@? The microwave reads 7:38am and so do the TV clocks. It made sense why I was so tired -- I woke up and hour and a half before I normally do. Go back downstairs and ask Tim to check the alarm clock and it says, its 8:48am. I told him it was only 7:38, so we both snuck in an extra hour and a half of sleep. Time has not been on my side this week. Its fucking with me.
Another spoke in the wheel of public transportation hatred:
The train was on time today, which was the only good thing about the journey. Number one, there is this guy who takes the train every fucking day and never shuts the fuck up. He has an annoying voice to, but he just talks and talks. I finally had to make a concerted effort to be in a different train car from him. Number two, I hate when people talk to me for no reason on public transportation. Ask me the time - fine. Comment about Septas general ineffectiveness - fine. Don't talk to me about any other shit. I hate it. I feel bad for being so stuck up, but honestly people annoy me. I just wanna read or take a nap dig?
....And just when I thought that the trip was over. Lights out. No noise. Train stops. Somewhere between Market East and Suburban Stations. They coasted the train into the platform and I escaped the evil clutches of Septa.
Oh yah, I saw Trishy (or a Trishy-lie apparition) peddaling by on her bike around 17th and Arch.
First Friday's tonight. Tim's picking me up when I'm done with work. We'll probably meet up with Shok, Becki and whoever else shows up...um...around 7:30 on some streetcorner. Becki told me yesterday and I can't remember? 4th and Walnut? 2nd and Market? iiiieeeee. Then there is Linder's dinner at the Vietnam Palace. And one of the three Dave Browns I know is having a party at a gallery somewhere. Afterwards, we may head up to Jerry and Lucinda's for farscape....We'll see what arises from that tentative plan. ha.
Then we have to get shit together for the BBQ tomorrow at Chez Henry Avenue. Y'all better come and get down with the Pee Pants.
