Since the hubby has to return back to his job in San Fran, & my contract position has ended in Chicago, I have been tasked with packing up the apartment for our move. Not a big deal until one considers the amount of crap we have managed to accumulate since: (1) getting married & (2) combining our two lives together. It is truly mind numbing.
As I am packing up the ridiculous amount of stuff contained within my 900 sq. foot apartment, I have realized that I now have nowhere to put any of the boxes. I cannot shove the boxes into any of our closets because the box dimensions are too large & the sliding closet door won't close. Our second bedroom is already overrun with stuff (excess furniture my husband refuses to get rid of like a futon & armchair that no one sits in; golf clubs; fishing rods, etc.) I'm seriously ready to toss everything & start anew, but that would just be silly. We'll just have to deal with walking around boxes for the next couple of days.
On the bright side, my kitties are having a field day leaping up on the boxes, popping bubble wrap, eating tape, finding new, crafty ways of attacking one another from around the boxes, & creating mischief. At least someone's having fun!
