new friends

I'm befriending the locals. I met a Guatemalan man the other day and he told me he thought we could be good friends, so we got coffee; he seems cool. We talked a lot about languages and traveling. It's nice hanging out with a dude without expectations, as I don't see us being anything but friends and I'm pretty sure he feels the same and it's refreshing.

He said when he first met me he thought I was European, because I have a European "look." This makes me smile ^_^

Then I ran into 2 Hispanic women who wanted to talk to me about God the Mother (feminist Catholics?), and I told them I was an atheist, but respected their beliefs and wished them luck in their endeavors. That's right, I'm trying to improve the public image of Atheists.
