A change
In my last post I said that I would be babysitting this fall...well, that has changed. The other day John was at a GM dealership here in town and was visiting with the office manager (who goes to church with us) and she asked him if I would be interested in working part-time for them. He told me about it and today I went out and visited with her about it. Funny thing is that for 3 1/2 years while living in Colorado, I worked at a GM dealership and so I have experience in what they would have me do...which is basically clerical (answering phones, posting vehicles, filing, etc.). It's all things I have done in the past, which is really good. So, she hired me today. I will be working Mon-Thurs 8:30 to noon....for pretty good money too! :) I will start the 27th, which is when Kari starts school. So, I'm looking forward to it and am so glad that God took me out of the babysitting thing...I really was not looking forward to doing that AGAIN. My friend was really understanding about it too, which was good and very important.
So, last post I couldn't believe that school was starting and now I can't wait till it will start. The kids are driving me insane! They have watched WAY TOO much TV the past couple of weeks. It has been SOOOOO HOT here that they have not been outside like they should be. I have been trying to get to the pool, but again, it's so hot that the kids don't even want to go! Hopefully tomorrow we'll go.
Otherwise things are pretty good. I am ready for the transition into fall....I really LOVE fall, but miss it in Iowa where it was so much more beautiful there because Iowa actually has trees and Kansas does not! :)
