Yeah....John has an interview next week with a paper in Shannondoah Iowa. It is a much much much better paper than where he is at. It is owned by the same cooperation that owns the Omaha World Harold and so this would be a huge step up in his career. For instance the beginning pay is $20,000 more a year. That is huge!
So, now I'm trying to figure out why God moved us to Colby for just 18 months. My mind is so mixed up and confused. This is all happening way to fast and I have had no time or energy to digest it all. I have to admit though, I am very tired of moving. I hate it with a passion....(I think everyone does). Even though I have resolved to this being my life...I'm having a difficult time with this one. I would love to move back to Iowa. I hate Kansas, however, there has been very good things here and some of of them is our church and the Christian school. There is no Christian School there...we'd have to commute at least 18 miles one way...and that is to a Lutheran School, not a non denominational one. John was just elected to be on the Board at our church, which is a HUGE deal and very much an honor to be on. I'm just so confused. I don't know what God is doing, but I have faith and trust in Him that His plans for us are good and right and no matter what happens He is in control. Please pray for us and for me...to have strength and faith. Thank you.
Danea Dobson (James Dobson's daughter) is speaking at our school this Saturday for a Ladies Tea. I am very much looking forward to it. I have read several of her books and she is so good. However, I will be glad when this tea is over because I have been helping organize it and it has been very consuming. I'm ready for the days of a lazy summer! :)
