I rarely use the word HATE...

But I HATE Kansas weather! And I mean it with every inch of my body, soul, and mind.

Every single night this time of year there is severe thunderstorms with, mind you, tornado spottings/watches/warnings, etc. I don't mind the thunderstorms so much, just the tornados...I HATE tornados. I've been in too many in my lifetime and could go the rest of my lifetime NEVER seeing or even of hearing of one. The past couple of nights we have had them all around us (thanfully not in the town I live in, but too close for comfort for me). And...have I mentioned the wind? Oh my gosh...the wind CONSTANTLY BLOWS here....and I mean constantly. And we are not talking just 10 or 15 miles an hour, no we are talking 25 to 40 miles an hour! The past two weeks I don't think the wind has been below 25 miles an hour. Have I mentioned that I HATE Kansas weather?

And to make matter worse...I am working at the radio station right now. Have I ever told you where the radio station is? It is in the middle of a field...seriously. It is a morton building (in case you don't know what that is...it is basically a big metal building). And of course no basement. I drive 5 miles on a dirt road west of a little bitty town called Brewster (pop. 100 maybe). So, yeah, it's literally in the middle of no where. When I leave the station all I see is black...no town lights, no lights at all (in some cases the stars, but not all the time). Don't get me wrong, I love working here, it's just freaky when all these storms are going on and you are alone in a metal building in the middle of no where. Kinda weird when you are telling everyone in the area to take cover because there is a tornado, when you are in a metal building in the middle of no where...which is usually where these crazy things end up at. :)

So...am I being negative enough for ya? Sorry about that.

That's my life right now...but good news is that I am not working tomorrow and instead I'm going to go get pampered...hair cut and dye! Aw...the simple joys of a mom! Have a great evening ya'll!
