I love leaving...but I HATE HATE HATE packing!
I don't know why...but I've always hated packing and today is no differnt.
So, the kids' clothes are packed, but mine are not. Maybe the reason I hate packing is because it makes me realize that I hate my clothes and I really don't have very many to choose from. I am deffinately going to have to do some laundry at my friends' houses while I'm away...I do not have enough clothes to get me through a week! How pathetic is that. I hate buying clothes too. I also hate doing laundry...see the theme here...I guess I just hate clothes all together.
I thought for a little while this morning about taking the train to Iowa again. It would cost the same for round trip tickets to and from there as it will to drive there (gas has gone up). But, than when I called the train is full on the day that I want to come home. So, forget that. Oh well...again, please pray for me and the kids while traveling tomorrow. This is the first major trip like this that I've taken with them ALONE! It will be fun...I know it will.
So, I cannot wait to get there...especially to Greenfield to see my friends (our first stop is in Leon to spend the day and night with John's Grandparents). The church is going to have a potluck dinner for us on Saturday night! How nice! I cannot wait! It is going to be so good to see everyone again and to catch up on things! However, I am kinda nervous about leaving there...again. Will it be tougher this time to leave? I am also concerned especially about Grant and how he will handle leaving again. He talks a lot about Greenfield and the old house...I hope he will not want to go to our old house and see it. Please be praying for us as we handle our emotions in all these cases.
So, my goal is to leave for Iowa by 9:00 a.m. tomorrow. Hopefully we'll achieve this. I am going to ask John to wash and vaccum the van out for me tonight. I was going to do it yesterday, but my parents ended up coming over for the day. Oh well.
Let's see...I guess that is all for now....we shall see you in a week! YAY for SPRING BREAK!!!!!
