Love is a crying baby Mama warned you not to shake

Apparantly, I like blogging before work, even though nothing has yet happened in my day that was eventful. Oh, wait. I just slurked down some coffee and am currently thinking about having food. Mmmm, food. I've had to put myself in the habit of eating breakfast - my days just get way too long unless I have something in my stomach before I go out the door.

I'm working on getting into skool again. Filling out my paperwork even though I haven't done my taxes yet (I filed an extension because I still haven't gotten my W2 from JoAnn) and seeing where I can go. I'm socking away as much $$ as I can with the idea that I can get $500 by June to do 5 credits this summer out of pocket, if nothing else. Planning on being back full-swing in the fall if it kills me. Even though it's Halloween season and I'll be busy at work

I have to remind myself that I love my job, my job is awesome, I get lots of cool things out of my job because I put a lot of work into it....but my job is not my raison d'être. Nor does it comprise my whole life like it feels sometimes. The good part is that noone else expects this of me either (unlike Fabric Store Hell), so that's something.I just have to keep myself from losing focus of the things I think are important, as well.

Today, I was planning to go in for 4 hours or so to do shipping and laundry, but that turned into going in for a full day to do shipping, laundry, and supervising an employee who was asked to fix an inventory project. Who...has not yet confirmed that she is coming in.

Tomorrow, ravengirl420 and PinUpAngie and I are going to a 'Focus' seminar about time management and goal setting on the company's ticket. I'm really excited about it, actually; if only to see what kind of ideas the people who consult professionally on the topic have and how I might be able to use them. Anyone who knows me outside of a professional capacity knows I'm scatterbrained and disorganised and a downright messy individual. And could probably stand not to be.

productivity, work, skool
