this has been
a great weekend. somehow, i have been drinking every day this weekend since thursday, although no drunkenness was involved, i don't think i've drank for this many continuous days in a loooong time.
it began thursday night with a drag show at ben and brenda's (a bar) for a friend's b-day. two people from our groupie got up on stage and danced (and no, one of them was *definitely* not me). oh, the roomie also had a visitor from college come- sarah. she stayed with us for the weekend.
friday=night out in philla. the first friday of every month is, in fact, called first friday. art galleries are open late, and they give you free food/drinks. afterward me, gayle, kenyon friends, and another coupla tfaers including our boyfriend all went to a modern dance show. i'm not too sure how i feel about this whole modern dance thing...it was all very "intrepretative." translation: as is true with most abstract art, i didn't get it, and question its artistic merit. more drinking followed, of course.
saturday=chris sewell's party with the boyfriend and another tfa camden kid, which was great. there were som freakin awesome wu-tang offs, and i got to meet more of the tfa philly kids. sometimes i wonder if i should have taken philla up on the offer to teach there. but then i remember that they have to pay more than $10,000 more than us to get certified, and i feel better. then back here for a slumber party!
this morning=sarah made us brunch! another kenyon kid, andy, came. he's awesome and quite possibly the weirdest, yet awesome person i've ever met. homemmade cinnamon rolls, omlets, mimosas, etc. oh, and gayle broke the garbage disposal. not so great.
now i must go prepare for the upcoming week. lovely.
