I'd like to state for the record that it's not a Skinner family Thanksgiving without a can of EZ Cheese on the table.
So what am I thankful for this year...lessee...I'm thankful for having a job. No, better yet, I'm thankful for having a retail job, and yet, not having to work tomorrow. Poor Joni had to go back tonight because she works at Belk's in Ahoskie, and therefore has to be at work at 4:30 tomorrow morning.
I'm thankful for having a cat who is not still FREAKING OUT because there are other cats in the house. In fact, I feel a bit sorry for Sophie. It's as if she's saying, "why are there all these little cats here, and why are they all hissing at me?"
I'm thankful for tryptophan, and the ensuing 3 hour naps, despite the fact that said nap occured during Best In Show. I'm thankful for a month's worth of comic books I've yet to read, and for All-Star Superman being interesting, despite the fact that it's Superman. I'm thankful for French Vanilla Kool-Whip, despite the fact that I can feel it going straight to my thighs as we speak. I'm thankful for Ball of Dog, despite the fact that he's the world's largest Pomeranian, and will not fit into any of the cute clothes we have bought him (seriously, Mom bought him this cute little shearling jacket, and when we tried to put it on him, it was so small, he couldn't walk).
I'm thankful for any holiday that doesn't involve a huge fight (although there's been less of them lately).
I'm thankful that the internet here is teh slowness, because I will actually get some things done now. Hope everyone had a good Turkey Day!
