deuces are wild

basically i just need to write a giant to-do list and then actually do the things on it. watching jackie brown for the eighth time, napping, drinking a litre of bacardi, etc. should not be on this list. whatever, it is sooooooooooo nice to have THREE (well, two-and-a-half) days off in a row!! like what am i going to do with all this time (other than: ridiculously accumulated laundry, rat-cage cleaning, grocery shopping (ugh it's been weeks), free-store poster-makin', long overdue birthday gifts, sewing/patching of thingssss, coverletter/resume, miscellaneous phone calls and necessary human contact, ah aha ha ha ahhh)

anyway. so yesterday was my really-truly-actually-gonna-leave, turn-in-my-key day at kids on the hill. i swear i was singing as i skipped happily the five blocks home, 2:30pm on a tuesday. celebrated with an awesome lunch and awesomer sex.

listening to grateful dead now...thinking about going to one of the reunion shows in the spring, but the closest they come is dc. all i want to do is stay in bed with warm blankets, make pot upon pot of tea, and read about radical politics.

mmmm the world looks so good today! like i am just looking out my window and it's heart-warming (ironic considering the extreme cold and windiness, uck). the sun is shining off the tops of cars parked on the hill on park ave, the rowhouses stand and salute in a gradual ascension, tree branches frame and twist through the scene, i am sitting here on my bed waiting for birds to fly by. the sky is soft hopeful blue. yesterday we were bathed in a golden light, sunset sunset, and god yeah, it was awfully beautiful, like the kind you can feel rising from inside you and spreading infectious to your entire being.

Aquarius Horoscope for week of January 15, 2009

This could be an epic year to be an Aquarius. I'm hoping you won't be satisfied with merely coasting along on the positive vibes that will be flowing in abundance. Rather than just enjoying your rising popularity, for instance, why not use your popularity to double your clout? And instead of simply increasing your productivity, why not supercharge your creativity at the same time? Finally, how about using your high levels of mental acuity to figure out ways to enhance your emotional intelligence? While this year will probably be pretty good no matter what, with some regular tweaks of your willpower you could make it amazingly great.
