365 Days of the Poet: Petal 25, "She Always Sings of Spring"

Feb 01, 2011 16:57

An early photo of today's storm, ganked from Chris Dork's FB page.

The white world absorbs me
as yet another obstacle
to its whipping winds.

If I fly away,
remember me in spring
with the lions and the daffodils.

For I will sing to you still,
up through your clovered toes
and down through the pinkness of cherry blossoms.

winter, spring, my poetry
