Boo tests!
I can't believe I actually sat in a chair for 5 hours straight taking a test. That is a long ass time to sit in a chair and think and answer questions. Damn CA department of education and their giving me a credential, even though I hadn't taken the CA test and making me assume that I could geta job and such without taking it. Here I was all happy, but then wham, looking for jobs and they all say you need to have a certificate saying you are highly qualified. Well how do I get one of those? I took the Praxis when I was in RI and I was under the impression that that made me highly qualified. But, NOOOOOO you have to take the CA test to be highly qualified in CA, the fact that you are highly qualified in about 35 other states doesn't matter. If I had known this a year ago when they gave me the credential, I would have taken the test back then, and been able to apply for like 80 more jobs, instead of being like, well fuck, I'm technically not highly qualified yet. I better have freaking passed this thing. It was long, and expensive.
