I'll be there for you

Ohisashiburi desu.

i haven't logged into my LJ account for years, to the point where I had to dig around for my password.
I don't even think anyone I know from my years in T&T fandom is still around LJ too.

But yeah, the news about T&T suspending activities made me feel like saying somethign about it.  I literally ran around my apartment yesterday night, trying to find my Hatachi CD, because I wanted to hear that song again one more time. Yeah, that song called "Epilogue".
I used to think "Diamond" was my favorite T&T song ever, and I even stated that several entries and years ago.  But it sadly took a full official unit suspension to make me realize that "Epilogue" is actually the best T&T song they've ever put out.  And it is my favorite after all.

Listening to the song takes me back to their graduation debut concert at the Tokyo Dome on October 19 and 20, 2002, when I got to see them perform "Epilogue" with the rain coming down on them, with my own damn eyes.   And how emotional and beautiful that moment was.  Because they both fought so hard to debut together, and that concert and that performance was the culmination of their hard work and drive.

There is never an "epilogue" with T&T.  Cause even if they suspend activities, or whatever, they'll always live on in my heart.  In the fans' hearts. And I think, in Takki and Tsubasa's hearts themselves too.

So I read the Jimusho's official statement, and then I read Takki and Tsubasa's own messages too.
I want to roll my eyes at the whole "oh we're trying to work on ourselves so we can come back together even stronger than before" crap because that ship has long sailed.  I mean, that already happened years ago.  And repeatedly. The fact that they have a lot of solo activities is something unit fans have already gotten used to, and accepted long LONG ago.  We don't like it, but it's just how it is. Cause both of them have different strangths and different interests.

And because it's nothing new to us, it feels really strange, and also somewhat troubling to me, that the Jimusho and T&T themselves have finally made an official statement about the group's hiatus. I keep thinking a lot has to do with low CD sales and low concert attendances, and a rapidly diminishing fanbase.  To the point where the Jimusho and the men themselves have decided that it makes sense (financially and or otherwise) to terminate unit activities for now, with their 15th anniversary coming up.

But as it has happened many times before, Tackey & Tsubasa always come back HOME. T&T is their home, as they have themselves said it.  And so I believe (and know) that they will reunite.  I just hope I'm still alive when that happens. hahaha.

Anyway, best of luck to both of them.  I may have left the fandom, but they always have a special place in my heart.  And I still enjoy listening to their music. I also met some of the greatest fans in the world all because of T&T - Wribbit, Naughtiest, Lovespiral, Dorothy, Yona, Nikki, Marita, Karog, Ami, Candy, Suzie, Izabela, just to name a few. Being a T&T fan was probably the happiest time of my life.   I really hope everything works out in the end for both Takki and Tsubasa. And for Tackey & Tsubasa.
