here in spain homophobia has quite dissappeared, thanks heavens. it may sound stupid, but in the last years it's been seen as an "in " thing to be gay. people is proud of having bi/homo/trans friends and even some people you would never think they could be gay suddenly swear they are so (because it's in fashion). i find this fashion so stupid, of course, almost an insult for me who had to hide my feelings for girls when i was 13, 14, 15, 16...and ever since until i said "STOP" and decided to just being as i felt, not caring if that made me lose friends or made people criticise etc... but anyway, this fashion has helped many people who didn't feel brave enough to show their feelings to show them without fear now! and that's ok, so i guess i can say homophobia ain't a problem anymore in Spain. a few months ago we managed to legalize homo weddings. there were a few protests from the vatican and, of course, from our own christian priests (apart from some conservative people), but i'm glad to say our president could kick their arses (ooops. sorry if anyone's offended) and could get their big noses back to their own businesses. so luckily nowadays if you love somebody. anybody. you can marry him/her. hope more presidents followed this example
