pub quiz
So we won first place in Pub Quiz tonight. That would be Ashli, her husband Bill, and I. I've never won before. It was awesome :) It was a different quiz master than we were used to (we hadn't been in awhile) and we were surprised with how easy his questions seemed to be. At the end of the regular rounds, we were tied with 2 other teams for first. Not surprisingly, they were the 2 regular groups that we recognized from our previous visits to pub quiz and were pleased to be in the final 3 because we considered these other groups to be quite the competition. Well, the tie breaker round came between the 3 of us and it was also a speed round. In the instance that we all got all 3 questions right, it was the first one who handed their answer sheets to the quiz master that won. So we moved and sat right next to the quiz master up front :) We answered all 3 questions and turned around and handed in our answer sheet. 1, 2, 3 all correct. Wheeeeee! We won. I was nominated to go select the prize. There were 5 napkin balls scrunched up, 4 of them were a round of drinks, the 5th would have been a prize of $100!!! Of course, I pulled a round of drinks, but for those that know me, it wasn't all that disappointing :) Turns out a round of drinks can include more than a beer for each person. So we celebrated with beers and some Patron. Nice way to end the night. Next Tuesday we're going to do it again if all goes well. If you want to join our team, let me know.
