Weekend Chaos...
Had our company Christmas party this Saturday up in Reno. It was loads of fun. Though it was supposed to be semi formal, people came dressed in everything from leathers to fully decked like they were going to prom. It was lots of fun though, they had a huge raffle (where I won a $100 Best Buy gift card) and at the end the raffled off a Harley. My Team Leader won it...I was close though....very. His number ended in 62...mine was 63. *sigh* Ah well, I haven't been working here long enough to deserve to win a Harley yet anyway. So anyway, the party was held at the Silver Legacy, and was really fun. A few people got a little too blitzed, but other than that fun was had by all. Harley also arranged for us to get rooms at oonly $45 a night (which is great...this particular casino is usually is almost $200 a night on a Saturday.) So woundedwolf and I stayed up in Reno Saturday night.
Sunday, we went to Best Buy. I was looking for a new computer desk, and figured WTH...I have a gift card, lets go get one. But this particular Best Buy didn't have computer/office furnature...so I bought a portable DVD player instead...LMAO. We then went to WalMart and Target to finish up some Christmas shopping. While at Target I found a computer desk, and spent last night re-arranging and cleaning our computer room. I'll have to take a pic of that when I get home.
Friday we went and bought a fake Christmas tree. It's prelit and everything. Part of me is kind of sad at not having a real tree...but in the end, the benefits were too high. So we're going to get a wreath so that we can have the scent that I love so much. I set up the tree Friday night, but haven't decorated it yet, I wanted to give it a chance to relax first...that and I have had ANY time for decorating. When I do though, I'll take a pic of that too...
I'm really tired now, I feel like I haven't gotten a good night's sleep in weeks. I just wish I could go home and pass out for a few days...but no, I don't have another day off until next Sunday. I'll be so happy when this semester is over, I need the break.
