ECT day 6
So today was the day that they upped the voltage of my treatments because they had not been effective thus far. Immediately after the treatment I realized something was different because my head was sore, when it hasn't been after the previous sessions. I realized later when I went in to work to get ready for tomorrow that I am having major confusion. Right now I can't remember what made me realize I was having confusion but I remember telling people at work that I was having problems. The confusion seemed to get worse as the day went on. At the end of the day, I called my dad and told him that I was really confused. He recently had a knee replacement and I did not remember if he was still in the hospital or if he had gone home yet. Right now I can't remember all of what made me realize that I was confused earlier today but it's bad now. I couldn't remember what time I have to be at work. I had to call a coworker to confirm. I also had to confirm how long it takes to drive from Georgetown to work. I don't remember what time I normally get up to get ready for work; I have no idea how long it normally takes me. I am realizing that I can't remember the basics of how to do the job I have been doing for 14 years. I'm in big trouble. I'm hoping it will come back to me but right now it's not.
