In case you don't know, "Hot Topic" is a popular store with the kids of my generation, and several generations below mine. They sell alternative/punk/goth style clothing and music, as well as leather (and faux-leather) items such as collars and cuffs. They also have great hard to find T-shirts from shows like Invader Zim and Care Bears.

It feels like when I first started liking Star Trek, and saw little signs of it everywhere. The nerd-pleasure is immeasurable.
