There was much hype in central Florida concerning "Tropical Storm Ernesto". It would tear our homes and lives apart.
I've lived in Guam. I'm sorry, but a tropical storm does not scare me after experiencing several extreme typhoons that literally ripped up much of the island.
I went to Walmart yesterday because I needed to buy a router. I also thought I'd buy a flashlight in case the electricity went out. Nearly every flashlight, battery, fan, and bottle of water in the store was gone. It took me nearly two hours to get in and out of the store, including the parking lot mania.
My neighbors had sandbags.
The forecast today: I woke up late morning to some rain. Now the sky is gray and it is drizzling.
I am on my computer, so obviously there was no loss of electricity.
Sigh.
