(no subject)
well, it seems i've gotten myself into a stupid jam.
in my codicology class, we each have to present an article throughout the term, and i wanted to be done early, so i volunteered to present tomorrow.
i didn't realize the article was in french. i discovered that this morning.
i can read french, but it takes me literally 10 times as long, or more, because i have to look up every fourth words as my vocab sucks.
so that's what i'm doing all day today.
further to this, i volunteered last week to present an article in french for another class, but i knew what i was doing, and i checked the length before i volunteered. it was only 10 pages. this week, my prof, a lovely french lady, thinking i can read french no problem, assigned me a 50 page article to present. ahhh, pride. looks like i'll be spending all day tomorrow and the next day reading french, too, since i haven't started yet, of course. i really hope i get through it. i'm also not having that great a day (nauseous and tired). they say the second trimester is supposed to be better! maybe next week?
back to french. i better be dang good at french by the end of this semester!! mais oui!
