tiresome. Yes... I think the jet lag is finally kicking in, plus all the running around town. On average, I get up early and walk around doing errands from 8:30 AM to 5 PM. All this exercise makes me hungry and fit. I've had my share of gelato... I think I've found the right place. Learning Italian once again is fun, espeically when I am forced to use it everywhere I go. It helps to mask the American accent. There are quite a few Asians living here... which is nice. I'm at a wifi cafe, where there is free internet. It's one block from my apartment, which is also 2 blocks away from the Duomo, the most famous church in the city. I haven't had much bad encounters with the Italians yet and I hope it stays this way. My eyes are dry from all the cigarette smoke and pollution from the cars. Last night was my first night in the apartment and I slept like a baby, despite how close I am to the Center. It is finally the weekend and tonight there is a celebration/parade going on. I can't wait. Tomorrow there is a thing going on with the Duomo, where they open their terrace for only once this year.
From my hotel room... I still can't believe I'm living here:
